About me
Experience
I have been interested in therapy and mental health throughout my adult life. I am fascinated by the ways in which each person makes sense of whatever life brings. I find it deeply rewarding to share in a process of understanding and insight, and to explore the possibilities for change.
I originally studied English, and then worked as a writer and editor specialising in mental health policy. I undertook a Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling and an MSc in Psychology before completing a three-year MSc in Therapeutic Counselling. I then gained a post-qualifying Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am currently undertaking specialist training in neurodiversity-informed practice.
I am registered as an integrative psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
In addition to my private practice in Pimlico, London SW1V, I also work for a charity which provides long-term counselling. I previously saw clients in primary care in the NHS, and in community counselling services, as well as volunteering for SANE, MIND, and Cruse Bereavement Care.
